What quitting means to me

I remember someone saying “a quitter is the ugliest person on earth”. How many times did I try to quit before? Countless. Does that make me ugly enough?

I tried to quit school. I tried to quit my first job, the second, the third… just tried. At least there’s a difference between trying and doing.

I’ll forget about quitting.
For now, I’m on the verge of giving up.

My officemate saw me typing this and had just reacted: “Duh? What’s the difference?”

I’m doomed. Maybe I need some counseling.

  2. quitting is not always bad. it's simply a recognition of what we are, what we like more, what makes us happier. i really wouldn't care being seen a loser if i end up happier.

  4. tingin ko depende yan sa konteksto ng iququit mo... if you're quitting because you choose happiness then you are the most beautiful thing that would ever walk the earth... lahat ng magsasabing ugly ay mga inggiterong hitad lang na hindi kayang palayain ang sarili para sumaya...

    hahaha...

ayan napaka universal ng konteks ng sinabi ko... pwede mong iaaply sa lahat ng perspective.,..hehehe....

  8. agree akun dun ki r-yo. di lahat nang quitters ugly. it's a choice. yet sometimes depende sa situation kung good or bad ang quitting.

if quitting will make your life much better sa dati mo and will be more meaningful pati na sa mga kebigan at mahal mo sa buhay, then quitting is good. else, masama.

lahat naman tayo had our moments. ilang beses na rin akong nag-quit. actually, am at the verge of quitting too. gusto ko nang umuwi sa pinas. remember my entry?

  13. sometimes.. it's not the mind that quits, it could be the body or the heart.

i wonder which part of you is about to give up or is it a consipiracy of the two against one..

thinking bhuddism, it is not about giving up, but how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you..

  18. baka naman kailangan mo lang muna mag-rest just to think things over.

although i agree with panyero aryo that quitting is not always bad, still, it can leave a negative impression not by anyone around you (who cares) but mainly by yourself. quitting could be quite habit-forming and never a solution.

think it over again and again dude.

  19. quitting or giving-up, kung ano mang term ang gusto mong gamitin, my advise is to quit or give-up if you are not happy anymore sa ginagawa mo or sa situation mo, it doesn't mean magiging happy ka na after that, but the most important thing is puede ka nang maghanap ulit ng ibang bagay na puede kang maging masaya.

    goodluck!

  23. whatever it is, there are really things you need to quit on to, but if its a life-changing case, its a different thing. you really need to do a lot of thinking about it. chill lang, bro :p
