Credit Card Info

Have you been stopped by someone at SM and asked:

“Sir/ma'am, may credit card ka na ba?”

I’ve been asked a couple of times by these ladies (in corporate attires, who look well educated until they talk) and it's really annoying. It’s supposed to be a marketing strategy. But it came to me as the most unethical question a stranger would ever ask anyone.

(Almost three years later, today, I just found out that this is a part of the Philippine Prudential Life (PPIL)/DANVIL Dirty Marketing Strategy.)

Anyway…

I’m off to the province today…the thought alone is refreshing.

Remote Controlled

TV surfing would be much better this time.

I just erased them.

Deleted all the channels I don’t like.

I never watch GMA7. I get to see their shows only by accident (while on the bus, office pantry) and them tooting their own horn is so not classy. I understand they’re winning the ratings race, but how they laud about their short-term achievement is an obvious sign of insecurity.

I also removed those channels devoted for religious groups which are making billions of money by pretentiously talking about every verse they could get from the bible. An unprophetic way to make profit, don't you think?

I like my channel list better that way. Its virus free.

On Leave

"Bakasyonista"

The last time I used the word was n years ago, back in college. We were using this word to refer to someone who’s enrolled with 18 units or less, for no “valid” reason. The long hours of free time and breaks make them a bakasyonista.

Excited. I’ll be on a week long vacation by the end of this month.

The thought of having a 6-day off from work makes me feel better. This is the much needed break. For the first time in 5 months I’ll be breathing and cleaning my lungs with the freshest air again, eat healthy home-cooked meals and enjoy the comfort of being at home with my family.

Also,

I’m Baguio bound after the Halloween. I can’t wait to wear my jacket while on the streets, and drink HOT coffee once more. Uhmm...

Deadly and Dirty

Street Signs

Medyo matagal na ang mga pictures na to sa camera ko, so para madelete ko na, post ko na lang dito. Naaliw lang naman ako at natuwa nung first time ko to makita.

Just Me, Myself and I

The most beautiful Pusa tagged me with this,

The rules:
1. List eight (8) random facts about yourself.
2. Tag eight people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them).
3. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs.

Eight random facts about me:

  1. I love the number 13. I consider it my lucky number.

2. I love eating and I eat anything with cheese. My weakness: spaghetti.

      3. Been mistaken as a callboy many times. It’s flattering but a bit degrading, pffft!

    1. I was born and grew up in a remote town in the north. As a boy, the hills, mountains and rivers were my playground. Climbing trees was a daily routine. My toys were made of wood. Top, yoyos, sling shots, toy guns…all made of wood.

    1. I was an honor student from grade 1 to grade 6. High school? I was one of the "losers". I can totally relate with Jason Biggs in that movie.

6. Calling me thin would make me feel bad and offended. I was skinny my whole life, and now that I’m gaining weight, I’d appreciate if you call me fat.

    1. When I’m stressed, I go for a walk, watch movies, and I don’t wanna be with anyone else. I feel a lot better after.

    1. My ultimate dream: to become a professional photographer. I’m totally into photography; I just get frustrated sometimes knowing that it’s very expensive.

DeSkTop

I’ve been tagged by Vince, and because my computer is beyond my reach (uh, it’s seated near my bed back in Baguio), I don’t have my real desktop to show here.

I will never know what happened to my computer at the office, but I did all trouble shootings necessary already but I can’t seem to put any wallpaper on my screen. It’s been like this ever since. Must be the damn IT people again!

Bluer than blue...even my desktop is boring.

I use to change my wallpaper all the time, depending on my mood. If my brother hasn't changed it since the last time I did, my desktop would still look like this:

My nephew loves looking at his photos on my camera, so to avoid any damages on the unit, i set this as my desktop. He was so amazed looking at "his face on the computer screen".

Boring...

Text ng boardmate ko: Musta po

Reply ko: Ok lang, kaw?

Reply niya: Ok lang din. Dito sa gym. San ka

Reply ko: Ah, dito na ako sa house, galing ako jan SM.

Reply niya: Ok. Gala ka n rin no

Reply ko: Ndi naman, may binili lang.

Reply niya: OK

I’ve been here in Manila for 7 months now. I don’t go out too often. I get too exhausted at work that when I get home all I want is sleep. I never hang out. I don’t like going to the malls either, unless I need to buy something or when it gets too hot in my room (ain’t got AC) and I can’t sleep anymore, going to an air-conditioned place is my last resort.

My boardmate probably noticed that. Since I work at night, we rarely see each other. Aside from Tine (also busy,we only meet at least once a month), he’s my only friend here outside of work.

I just realized, I may be the most boring person on earth. I’m more of a loner and I’m not very friendly. I thought having 10 loyal friends is more than enough to complete my friendship needs. I listen but I rarely talk, I mean not a lot, that’s probably the reason why people think I’m shy. I am. I could be mistaken as the most timid person but I do have this don’t f***n-mess-with-me personality.

For me it’s not an eye for an eye, its two eyes for an eye. So if you kill me once, I’ll kill you twice…and if you love me, I’ll love you more! LOL

Epilogue: Halatang wala lang maisulat…
