I takes a lot of courage.
Aaminin ko na.
Hindi ko ikahihiya.
Papanoorin namin ang Caregiver bukas!!!
I am not a Sharon fan, but when I've heard she's doing Caregiver, I thought I should watch it. When I saw the trailer, I know I should really go and watch it.
My sister is also a caregiver.
When she took a vacation three years ago, I remember having this conversation with her:
Me: "Ayoko mag-work dito sa Pilipinas. Mag-aabroad na lang din ako. Mahirap ba?"
My sister, thinking that I was referring to her job goes, "Mahirap. Klangan mahabang pasensya. Mahirap maging caregiver..."
Out of nowhere I replied, "At bat naman kasi ako magki-caregiver?"
That left her speechless.
Later on I was pondering on what I have said. She must have been hurt with my words. I mean, that time, I was graduating from college. Fresh and still confident about getting what I want once I face the real world.
"At bat naman kasi ako magki-caregiver?" (Kasi nga college graduate na ako!) A big insult from me. And I want to tell her how sorry I am.
See, my sister graduated from law school. She took the bar exam once but failed. She got married two years later, and just like the hundreds and thousands and millions of OFW's out there, she made that very hard decision of leaving her family and take care of strangers instead of her then two-year old daughter.
That's one, huge sacrifice.
I'd surely be moved by the movie. We'll be bringing packs of Joy, 2 plies, so no worries. :)

if your still single, you don't mind to be a caregiver bec. you're a college graduate. But...we will see if you have already a family.
gusto ko rin mapanood yung caregiver.
although i don't have any family members working abroad, i still wanted to know what it feels like when someone leaves you.
anyway, i like the introduction to your post.. haha
You're indeed brave el..., for having revealed it.. haha! I think I'm going to watch it as well...

Honestly gusto kong makita ang kalagayan ng mga caregivers sa London, i am caregiver and planning to migrate in UK too.
dakilang islander, nadala nga po kami ng tissue. hahaha. i'll check the tag later. Tnx!
lawstude, ndi ko napanood ung Ploning. Maganda daw.
reyna elena, ha? ndi naman. Nagkataon lang un title ng movie. hehe
prily, there are some scenes na nakakaiyak.
wanderingcommuter, i thought so.. :(
my-so-called-quest, honga eh. Malaking sacrifice talaga. Enjoy Sex! I mean the movie, hehehe
kurisujae, panoorin niyo, maganda. Kakahiya kasi puro mga matatanda karamihang nakapila. LOL
dra. rio, nasaktan ko nga siguro. She just ignored it though. Maganda ung movie.
Ambo, based sa nakita ko sa movie, it's something that i can't do.
I thought she was hurt. Kaya nga considered sila as mga "bagong bayani" dahil sa kadakilaan nila!
Would also love to watch this film. After all, it's not about who the actor(s) is/are and what the theme is. Ang mahalaga ay yung morale na matututunan in the end. Hehe. Just a thought.
P.S. I remember I have a post something in relation to OFWs. Can't recall eh. Hanapin ko nga. Hehe..
reyn, yes. I believe she was hurt. hirap nag malayo sa pamilya kaya ngaun pa lang sinasanay ko na sarili ko. Hehe.
Maganda ung movie, panoorin mo.
She graduated from Law to become a caregiver? Grabe no? Well, caregiving is a decent job but I'm sure she wanted to be a lawyer and ended up becoming a caregiver for the sake of her family. It's a classic Pinoy story. Mag-sorry ka na sa kanya Ely. Kaw talaga. :D
Hi Ely : ). I'm planning to watch this movie too. I want to know the sacrifices and harships they have to go through just to send money to their families in the Philippines. I'd better watch this alone because I don't want my friends to see me crying. hehehe...
Abaniko, oo nga eh. Of course we all wanted her to be a lawyer eventually so kahit andun xa, we're encouraging her to try to take the bar again.
hi Chres, it's a big sacrifice they're doing. It's ok watching the movie alone, hehehe
