Yes, I still have a Friendster account. But wait, by May 31, 2011, all my Friendster photos, testimonials, messages and blog posts will vanish... forever! This is part of the suppose upgrade that Friendster is doing. Nope, they won't delete our accounts. We can still login after and view our empty profiles.
My account (the second and last), was created in October 2004. The first one was made six months earlier until some internet cafe user stole my password. Well, my Friendster contains quite a number of memories. Not really the old photos (which I've actually deleted a long time ago), but I value the messages and testimonials more. Imagine reading a friend's message six years ago and someone's impression on you back then? :)
Anyway, I just moved my Friendster photos to Multiply. How to do that? Just look for the Friendster Exporter app when you login to your account. You can transfer all your photos to Multiply or Flickr.

Life after typhoon Ondoy
Relief operations for all Ondoy victims are still going on.
In times like this, it’s amazing to see Pinoys from around the globe helping and reaching out to our fellowmen who are victims of the said tragedy. Such a commendable act and may God bless everyone who have extended their empathy and helped in their own ways.
I may not be directly affected by what have happened last weekend, but I once mourned for losing a friend due to a tragedy similar to this. It was during typhoon Feria’s wrath in 2001, killing hundreds of people including my very good friend, her mother, three of her siblings and her cousin. My friend and her mom’s bodies were never found. May they rest in peace.
These are the times when we wish we could do more. I just hope I was able to contribute something, even just a little, through my blogging.
As a side note, I was one of the Facebook members who saw Jacque Bermejo’s comments. Just like most of us, I was also enraged and after making some verifications, I posted this entry. Of course I also doubted if this is real as it could be a case of another (alleged) Facebook hacking like this (warning: explicit content!). Anyway, whether this comment came from the real Jacque or not, it is something that no one would want to hear at these times.
Moving on, I am happy to hear that my officemates, friends and fellow bloggers who are from Marikina, Pasig and Rizal are safe. Their numbers were also “cannot be reach” last weekend which has left me worrying for a few days.
I hope and pray that everyone’s doing fine now. It's difficult to move on, but as what Mahalia said, "should misery come, it will not claim me".

Rediscovering San Juan and San Fernando La Union
I was on the road for 16 hours last weekend. Tiring, but thankfully it was very rewarding. I got to see my good ol' college friends once again.
Moreover, I was impressed at how La Union has changed. The place is very close to my heart as I've spent most of my teenage life here. I'm sharing some photos below...
We rented a room at Normis resort in San Juan, La Union. This is about 3 kilometers away from the famous San Juan surf resort.

If you're north bound, I'd recommend this place for an overnight stay. Nice place and friendly staff: Normi2's (as in Normi-Normis)!
The next day, we planned to visit the Fiesta Casino located at Poro Point in San Fernando city. Pero dahil nakashorts at tsinelas lang kami, hindi kami siyempre puwedeng pumapasok.

I only managed to take this single photo of the casino. Tanghaling tapat pero puno ang parking lot. Yung plaka nung isa dyan, nakasulat ang nagmumurang "MAYOR".
Near the casino is Thunberbird hotel, which architectural design has impressed us.

No we didn't get a room. Hindi na namin to afford. hehehe.
It's been three days and yet I'm still daydreaming about the trip.

Celebrating 10 years of friendship.
I was listening to Tina Arena’s Burn, and my mind just suddenly traveled back 10 years ago. Amf! I couldn’t believe it’s been over 10 years since. It was a year when one of the sincerest friendships I found have started to grow with people I met around the school campus.
Some friends remained, some I never heard of anymore. Friendster, Yahoo, the world wide web, that’s the nearest we could get to each other. I wish I could go back. Aren’t they done building the time machine yet?
I am thankful that God has blessed me with real people, friends who’ve always been there through thick and thin, for 10 years and counting…

F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Next to my family, I value my friends more than anything else.
It's amazing how friendship is kept through the years, despite the differences, the odds. That's when you know, it's indeed real.

hot choco: sweet
Shy, wallflower, silent, snub. That's how my friends describe me. A sheep who could in a snap turn into a bull.
They're right. I could be the nicest person on earth and depends on how you treat me, I could be the exact opposite. And my friends know that. And they know that I know that. I am not the kind who would go around people I don't like, pretending to be nice when in fact I am not.
And no matter how bad I could get sometimes, they accept me. Just like that. I just thought I am so lucky for having them as friends, maybe limited in number but are giving me unlimited love and support. They may not tolerate my behavior all the time but in the end, they're there for me, staying with me... unconditionally.
